The Voice of Jesus Welfare Ministry was birthed from a divine encounter and a clear mandate from the Lord Jesus Christ. This ministry exists to proclaim that Jesus is our true welfare and that every life that encounters Him must be transformed.
The name of the ministry came directly from a word spoken by Jesus to Pastor Vera Obamen in a supernatural encounter. In His own words, Jesus said:
“I AM WELFARE. When people meet with Me, their lives shouldn’t remain the same.” With this instruction, she was commissioned to take this message of transformation, healing and provision to the world.
The ministry stands on the truth of Jeremiah 29:7, where God calls His people to seek the welfare of the city they’re in, because in its welfare, they too will find theirs. Through live streams, prayer gatherings, biblical teaching, and prophetic outreach, The Voice of Jesus Welfare Ministry is raising Kingdom citizens who carry the life-changing power of Christ into their families, communities, and nations.

Pastor Vera Obamen is a woman of deep encounters and unshakable faith. She carries the mantle of a Prophet with an Apostolic grace and unction. From the age of ten, she began receiving revelations from the Lord and walking closely with Jesus. A life-changing visitation from Jesus marked her with the message:
“I AM WELFARE—take this message to the world.”
This encounter lit a fire in her that has only grown over the years. From her early days as a church leader in Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria, to becoming a Deaconess at Christ Embassy in Lagos, and later pastoring in Union, New Jersey, Pastor Vera’s journey has always been guided by divine instruction.
Obedient to God’s voice, she founded The Voice of Jesus Welfare Ministry to bring healing, hope, and the love of Jesus to all. Through her powerful teachings, livestreams, and prophetic ministry, countless lives have been touched and transformed.
She is joyfully married to Victor Obamen, and together they are blessed with three beautiful children: Victor, Precious, and Rhema.
